October 22, 2011 - A statue to Brooks Robinson, No. 5 of Baltimore Orioles fame, was dedicated. The ceremony, at noon, took place opposite Camden Yards, (nka "Brooks Robinson Plaza"). The sculptor of the statue, Joseph Sheppard, was present. He currently resides part time in Italy and had taught at MICA for over 15 years. Mr. Sheppard, also a painter and an author, was one of the speakers at the event. Scott Garceau served as the MC.
