June 7, 2011 — Hospice of the Chesapeake’s 2011 Hospice Gala was recently attended by nearly 400 local contributors. The signature event raised $200,000 which will support the many programs and services provided to patients and families in both Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties.
The event themed It’s About Living, was held at the BWI Hilton Hotel.
In addition, philanthropists Thomas and Christine Howell of Severna Park were honored for their commitment to the Hospice of the Chesapeake mission.
Hospice announced the launch of two new programs in 2011 which will include a pediatric hospice program as well as a perinatal support program. More details in the coming months on these new programs that will expand the continuum of care for children and their families living with complex illness.
