November 15, 2010 — Payroll Network, the largest independently-owned payroll management company that provides payroll processing and HR services to companies in the Washington, D.C. region, was a co-sponsor of AFS’s Retirement Plan and Employee Benefits Symposium on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda. The symposium was held for area business leaders to help them stay ahead of upcoming regulatory changes and new initiatives within the retirement and health care industry. Joe Young and George Whitehouse presented on important tips businesses need to keep in mind for payroll. In addition, participants learned about top 401(k) fiduciary issues including plan costs / fee disclosure, investment selection, target-date monitoring, and driving participant success.
