September 27, 2010 — On Wednesday, September 15, 2010, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) celebrated the grand opening of its new International headquarters and training facilities in Hanover.
Governor Martin O'Malley, Robert Hannon, CEO of Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka were among those who joined IUPAT leaders and rank and file in celebrating the event. The union's charitable organization, the Painters and Allied Trades for Children's Hope Foundation, or PATCH, also presented a $25,000 gift to the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades represents over 160,000 active and retired members in North America who work in the Finishing Trades.
