October 1, 2009 — Celebrating strength through partnership for southern Maryland, MedStar Health and St. Mary’s Hospital leaders gathered on Tuesday, Sept. 29 for a ceremonial signing to officially launch the new partnership of the two community-focused health organizations. As the ninth hospital in MedStar Health’s care delivery network, St. Mary’s Hospital will benefit from improved access to medical teaching and residency programs, clinical trials, research programs, physician recruitment and outpatient treatment programs.
