Head Orthopedic Surgeon for the Baltimore Ravens
Leigh Ann Curl, M.D. is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at Harborview Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Harbor Hospital and a member of the MedStar SportsHealth team. She has worked with the Baltimore Ravens since 1998, and is currently the team’s head orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Curl has also served as team physician for the University of Maryland Terrapins, the New York Mets, U.S. Women’s Basketball, U.S. Women's Rugby, Johns Hopkins University, and St. John’s University in New York. Dr. Curl is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Curl is board-certified and trained at Johns Hopkins and the Hospital for Special Surgery. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut, where she played collegiate basketball.
Dr. Curl’s expertise is sports-related injuries and complex conditions of the shoulder and knee.
