February 21, 2012 - When Johns Hopkins Children’s Center patients move into The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center on April 29 and April, 30, 2012, they will have a handmade fleece blanket as a warm welcome to the $1.1 billion state-of-the-art children’s hospital.

Michelle Emley, “when Hopkins Children’s reached out to our hotel asking us to help them make the patients’ move from the old facility to the new facility as comfortable as possible.”
“We know this can be a very delicate time for both the patients and parents and our team is over the moon to help out in any way we can,” says Emley. “Everyone from staff to guests to clients and corporate management are coming together on February 23, 2012 for a blanket- making-kick-off-party to trim & cut 908 pieces of fabric and tie over 67,500 knots to make 454 blankets by moving day.”
