December 09, 2011 - Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake today announced it is receiving a grant of $200,000 from Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) as part of $3 million in donations being made across 14 Habitat for Humanity affiliates to help stabilize local neighborhoods in 12 states. With these donations, Wells Fargo has provided $9.1 million in support of Habitat for Humanity International’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, which constructs, repairs and rehabilitates affordable housing with low-income families in markets hit hard by foreclosures.
“Our most recent donation is another example of how Wells Fargo has continued to support Habitat’s affordable housing work for nearly 20 years,” said Kimberly Jackson, executive director of the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, which is part of Wells Fargo’s Leading the Way Home® effort to create affordable housing. “Together we have made a difference with low-income families who now have homes in which they can take great pride – a mission that Wells Fargo has always believed is important.”
