October 4, 2011 - The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, a national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and advocacy for a cure, announces PurpleStride Maryland 2011. The 5K run / 2 mile walk to promote awareness and raise funds for pancreatic cancer research will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, MD. Registration begins at noon and opening ceremonies start at 2:00, followed by the run / walk at 2:30.
This family and pet friendly community event is planned entirely by local volunteers and everyone is welcome to participate. The event will feature a silent auction, children’s activities and musical entertainment. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. To register, visit www.purplestride.org.
