January 25, 2012 –— Caroline Sherman, the Business Development Officer for UHY Advisors Mid Atlantic, has been elected Chair of the Advisory Board of the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County (WGC). Sherman has been a member of WGC since its beginning 10 years ago and has been Chair of the Grants Committee for the past three years. Megan Bruno was re-elected Vice Chair. She is Chair of the Donor Development Committee and a member of the Circle Team. Bruno is a photographer with her own business, Starpoet Photography. Carole MacPhee was re-elected Treasurer. She is a licensed HUD Property Manager and a member of the Donor Development Committee. MacPhee serves as vice president and executive director of the Columbia Housing Corporation. In addition to these officers, other Committee Chairs are Joan Webb Scornaienchi, Co-Chair of Grants; Cindy Hankin, Leadership; Barb Nicklas, Communications; and Kathy Barnett, Youth Development. WGC is a community of women philanthropists addressing the needs of women and girls in Howard County.
