January 18, 2012 — Rebecca Tingle, executive director of Anne Arundel County CASA (AACCASA), was named a Paul Harris Fellow by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. The award recognizes “tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world.” Before joining AACASA, Tingle served as a family services caseworker for the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services. Before that time, she served as a child and adolescent services coordinator for Unity Health System/Behavior Health in Primary Care.
Tingle has been an active member and current chairperson of the Annapolis Rotary Club for the past four years, and has served as AACCASA’s executive director for the past six years. In addition to providing leadership and vision to the Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Anne Arundel County, she promotes CASA’s visibility in Anne Arundel County and oversees the implementation of volunteer advocacy services for abused and neglected children. Tingle is a member of the Community Foundation for Anne Arundel County’s Leader’s Circle. She has received the Annapolis Rotaract Club's Commitment Award, and the Incredible Award from Next Gen of Anne Arundel County.
