January 17, 2012 — Steve Anderson, director of the Maryland State Law Library, has been elected vice president/president-elect of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). Anderson joined the Maryland Judiciary in 2005 when he was named director of the Maryland State Law Library. Prior to that appointment, he served as director of research services for the Baltimore law firm of Gordon Feinblatt Rothman Hoffberger & Hollander, LLC. From 1995 to 1998, he was an associate librarian at the Baltimore County Circuit Court Library. Anderson is currently a member of the Maryland Access to Justice Commission and the Conference of Maryland Court Law Library Directors. He obtained his J.D. from the University of Maryland and his master’s in library science from the University of Arizona. He is an active member of Baltimore-area support groups and research campaigns related to young-onset Parkinson’s disease. AALL is a national professional association that represents law librarians and related professionals who are affiliated with a wide range of institutions.
