January 4, 2012 — Juli Anne Callis, president and CEO of the National Institutes of Health Federal Credit Union (NIHFCU), one of the largest credit unions in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and the nation’s largest serving the biomedical industry, has been named to the board of directors of The George Washington Institute for Spirituality and Health at the George Washington University Medical Center. Callis also serves on the board of Women In Bio, an organization of professionals committed to promoting careers, leadership, and entrepreneurship of women in the life sciences. Callis joined NIHFCU with over twenty years of credit union leadership experience. Previously, Callis served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for KeyPoint Credit Union in Santa Clara, CA and President of KeyPoint Financial Services, a mortgage CUSO. Prior to these appointments, Callis held the position of Vice President of Emerging Technology and Business Development for the credit union. Callis launched her credit union career at Langley Federal Credit Union (Hampton, VA) where she served as its Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations from 1988-1995. Callis holds a Master’s Degree from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from East Carolina University.
