January 3, 2012 — Erika Palmer, an asset manager with Manekin, LLC, has begun a two-year term as first vice president on the board of directors of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Baltimore, Inc. (BOMA Baltimore). For the past two years, Palmer served as BOMA Baltimore’s second vice president. As chair of its community services committee since 2007, she led the committee in hosting eight events and charitable drives annually, and established BOMA LEAP (Literacy, Empowerment Advocacy Program) that facilitated the renovation of a Baltimore City library, including raising capital, obtaining gift-in-kind services and coordinating the construction of the renovations. Palmer currently manages 36 South Charles St., the 25-story, Class A, high-rise office building in downtown Baltimore. She has received two BOMA Baltimore Building of the Year Competition Awards of Excellence for office building management. Prior to joining Manekin in 2002, she served as property manager and industry consultant/trainer at commercial real estate firms in California. Palmer is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council Maryland Chapter. Manekin, LLC is a full-service commercial real estate and residential land development firm headquartered in Columbia.
