December 28, 2011 — Lila Shapiro-Cyr, a Real Estate partner in Ballard Spahr’s Baltimore office, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. The Committee is a nonprofit organization that provides pro bono services to people who have experienced racial discrimination. Shapiro-Cyr represents clients in real estate acquisitions, development, leasing, and financing. Her clients include owners, developers, and tenants of commercial real estate properties. Shapiro-Cyr also represents many public housing authorities and other developers of affordable housing in ongoing redevelopment efforts. Shapiro-Cyr serves on the Board of Harbor City Services, Inc.; Chesapeake Search Dogs; and Kol HaLev, a Reconstructionist Synagogue Community in Baltimore. She is also the Chair of the Real Property, Planning, and Zoning Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. Ballard Spahr LLP is a national law firm based in Baltimore.
