December 5, 2011 — The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) recently awarded Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) President Sandra Kurtinitis with its 2011 Pacesetter Award. Kurtinitis joined CCBC as president in 2005. Previously she served as president of Quinsigamond Community College. Kurtinitis has served as a Board Member for the Greater Baltimore Committee and Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce. The Pacesetter of the Year Award recognizes a community college president or CEO who has demonstrated special leadership and support in marketing and public relations. NCMPR is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. CCBC educates nearly 74,000 students each year, including half of all Baltimore County residents attending college in Maryland as undergraduates.
