November 4, 2011 — Sharifa A. Anderson has joined the Baltimore office of Ballard Spahr as an associate in the Public Finance Department and a member of the Housing Group. Prior to Ballard Spahr, Anderson was a Legal Honors Clerk and Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She gained a great deal of experience serving as an Education Pioneers fellow with Teach for America, as a Mayoral Fellow for the City of Baltimore in the Department of Housing and Community Development, and as a policy fellow, policy analyst, and senior business manager at Fannie Mae in the Housing and Community Development Division. Anderson earned her M.P.P. from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, and her J.D., and Wharton Certificate in Business and Public Policy, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Ballard Spahr LLP is a national firm with offices in Baltimore.
