August 24, 2011 — Selma Curry-Harrison has joined the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), Baltimore affiliate, as program director. Curry-Harrison is a retired Baltimore City administrator who worked for Montgomery County Public Schools prior to joining NFTE Baltimore. While serving Baltimore City Public Schools, Curry-Harrison launched the National Academy of Finance and the NFTE program at Patterson High School. She also was a longtime special education teacher. Additionally, she mentored new teachers through the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. NFTE is an international nonprofit based in New York that provides entrepreneurship programs to young people from low-income communities.
