July 13, 2011 — Fulton Financial Corporation has named several recipients of the Fulton Financial Corporation 2011 Scholarship Awards. The scholarships, which are awarded to children of the Corporation’s employees, are given to young adults who are in college presently or are planning to begin college this year. Lauren Groft, of Ellicott City, will be attending the University of Maryland. Lauren is the daughter of Patty Groft, who works in the Human Resources Department of Fulton Financial Corporation. Additionally, Groft was a Varsity Lacrosse Defensive Player who was named to the US Lacrosse All-Academic team. Fulton Financial Corporation has assets of nearly $16.1 billion, operates 270 banking offices, and employs 3,900 individuals in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia through several banking affiliates; including The Columbia Bank headquartered in Columbia.
