June 27, 2011 — Dr. Leslie Mancuso, President and Chief Executive Officer of the global health non-profit JHPIEGO Corp., was named one of Ernst & Young’s 2011 Maryland Entrepreneurs Of The Year®. According to a release, JHPIEGO Corp., an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, has grown from an organization of 125 employees with a $5 million budget to a leader of innovation in global health care with $130 million in revenues and more than 950 employees working in 50 countries. More specifically, Dr. Mancuso was named as the Global Entrepreneur Winner. Dr. Mancuso serves on many boards including the US-ASEAN Business Council, Inc., the Life Science Innovation Forum (LSIF) of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization (APEC), Goodwill Industries International, Inc., and the World Trade Center Institute.  Dr. Mancuso serves on the CEO Advisory Board of the American Society of Association Executives, the Maryland State Governor’s International Advisory Board, and the Advisory Council of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the American Society of Association Executives. Dr. Mancuso has also been the recipient of many prestigious business and professional awards including most recently the Smart CEO BRAVA Business Women Achievement Award, the World Trade Center International Business Leadership Award, the Baltimore Daily Record Innovator of the Year Award, Maryland Top 100 Women Award and the Maryland Indian Business Roundtable (MIBRT) Global Award.  In addition to these awards Dr. Mancuso is the recipient of an honorary Doctorate of Science Degree from Shenandoah University.
