June 20, 2011 — The Howard County Economic Development Authority (EDA) has appointed Lawrence F. Twele as Executive Vice President. Twele was the Director of Economic Development for Carroll County where he led a team responsible for business development, workforce development, and tourism. Prior to his experience in Carroll County, Twele spent more than six years at the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development where he held several management positions. Preceding his tenure with the state, he worked in the private sector. Howard County Economic Development Authority is a public-private partnership whose primary goal is to promote economic growth and stability in Howard County.
