June 9, 2011 — The Maryland Science Center has appointed Mark Potter as Vice President of Development. Potter was most recently the Executive Director at the Basilica of the Assumption Historic Trust, Inc., where he was responsible for the management and operations of the Basilica of the Assumption, including its national fundraising efforts. He previously held the position of Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the Archbishop Curley High School, when he piloted the school’s alumni and development program. Potter is a graduate of Towson University, where he received his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Education Administration. Named one of Parents Magazine’s Top 10 Science Centers in America, the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore makes science understandable and fun for more than 500,000 visitors a year.
