May 17, 2011 — Anne Arundel Community College has appointed Dan Baum as executive director of its Public Relations and Marketing department. Most recently, he served as vice president of Crosby Marketing Communications, the third largest agency in the Washington, D.C. metro region. Baum is also the former director of marketing and, later, president, of the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI), a nonprofit educational organization that provides certification and training. In addition to his leadership and marketing credentials, Baum has taught continuing education courses at AACC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College and has completed master’s-degree level courses in marketing at Johns Hopkins University. Anne Arundel Community College is an award-winning, fully accredited public two-year institution.
