May 9, 2011 — The Y of Central Maryland's Chief Philanthropy Officer, Jeff Sprinkle, was recently named a "Fundraising Star" by Fundraising Success Magazine. Sprinkle was selected for his continued effort to engage thousands of community members in support of the Y's mission of providing high-quality programming to underserved families. Sprinkle came to the Y after 33 years with Random House, Inc. where he began as a customer service management trainee until his last position there as the Vice President of Distribution and Administration. In addition to his management duties at Random House, Sprinkle chaired their United Way campaign, served as company spokesperson to the local community and media, and was Random House Community Ambassador for business and charitable endeavors. He has also worked with organizations such as Carroll Community College, Carroll County Department of Economic Development and Carroll County General Hospital.
