April 25, 2011 — Lisa D. Sparks has joined Bowie & Jensen as an associate in the construction practice. Sparks has extensive experience in government contracting, Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) contracting and a deep knowledge of the issues developers and builders face. Prior to joining Bowie & Jensen, Ms. Sparks worked in the construction, surety, and real estate areas at Whiteford, Taylor, & Preston, LLP. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Sparks has a particular interest in green building and sustainable business practices. She has taught Legal Research and Writing courses and lectured in other subjects in the paralegal studies program in the School of Justice at the Community College of Baltimore County and will be returning to the University of Baltimore School of Law as an adjunct professor of Commercial Law in Fall 2011. Bowie & Jensen is a Maryland-based business law firm representing clients across the United States.
