March 28, 2011 — The Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) has hired Amber Bradford as its Director of Communications. Bradford has more than six years of communications experience in public relations, media relations, media training, crisis communications, social media, and employee communications. Prior to joining MHA, Bradford was a public relations senior account executive at GKV, a Baltimore-based full-service integrated marketing communications firm, where she managed day-to-day public relations activities for clients in the healthcare, consumer packaged goods, and professional services industries. Bradford also previously served as a public relations specialist at Carroll Hospital Center and was an editor/reporter at the Harford Business Ledger and The Aegis. Bradford earned a bachelors degree in communications from Salisbury University and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. MHA is the states advocate for Maryland hospitals, health systems and their patients.
