March 25, 2011 — Carol G. Cooper, an associate in Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC (ARD&H) family law and litigation practice groups, has completed the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice Training and is now qualified to practice collaborative law. Cooper completed the 20-hour training presented by The Department of Family Administration of the Administrative Office of the Courts, in cooperation with the Maryland State Bar Association CLE Department. Cooper becomes the second ARD&H attorney to add collaborative law to their practice. She joins Member Paul A. Dorf in utilizing this alternative method in family law cases.
An ARD&H attorney since in 2002, Cooper was named a 2010 and 2011 Rising Star by Maryland Super Lawyers. A frequent contributor to local family law publications, she regularly acts as a volunteer settlement facilitator for the family law division of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Cooper has been actively involved in the family law committees of the Baltimore City and Baltimore County Bar Associations and was Chair of the Family Law Committee of the Baltimore City Bar Association in 2008-2009. Additionally, she serves on the Maryland State Bar Association Committee on Lawyer Assistance Program and the Fundraising Committee for the Tuerk House, Inc., a Maryland non-profit corporation. ARD&H is a full-service law-firm based in Baltimore.
