February 21, 2011 — The Howard County Economic Development Authority’s (HCEDA) Board of Directors has appointed Janice M. Posey as acting chief executive officer of the Economic Development Authority. Posey will take on the role of acting CEO following the retirement of Richard (Dick) W. Story, HCEDA's CEO and Corridor Inc's 2006 Person of the Year. Posey has served as The Authority’s senior vice president for marketing and business development, and is also a board member of the National Family Resiliency Center, Inc. Prior to that, she worked for the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED). Posey graduated from Morgan State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and received an MBA in Finance from Atlanta University.
