February 2, 2011 — Whiteford Taylor & Preston received the President’s Award from the Maryland chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council at the Sixth Annual Wintergreen Awards event. The Award was accepted by Thomas Barbuti, Edward Lee, Adam Baker, Tami Daniel, and Lisa Sparks(*), representing the Green Building and Sustainability Group. The award was established to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making in green building and to encourage more people to serve by thanking and honoring organizations that, by their demonstrated commitment to sustainability and by example, inspire others. WTP’s Green Building and Sustainability Industry Group consists of 14 lawyers. This multidisciplinary team includes attorneys from WTP's corporate, intellectual property, litigation, construction and surety, clean energy technology, real estate development and leasing, and community association practices. WTP is a Baltimore-based law firm with six LEED Accredited Professional attorneys.
