January 24, 2011 — Kimberly Betterton has joined the law office of Ballard Spahr in Baltimore. Previously a partner at McKennon Shelton & Henn, Ms. Betterton is a member of Ballard Spahr’s Public Finance, Energy and Project Finance, Tax, and Transactional Finance practices. Betterton is a frequent speaker at professional and educational seminars, including the Maryland GFOA and the Bond Attorneys' Workshop. Betterton serves as the Chair of the the Bond Attorneys' Workshop and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. She participates with the American Bar Association's Committee on Tax Exempt Financing as the Chair of the Subcommittee On Arbitrage, and she is the former Editor-in-Chief of Federal Taxation of Municipal Bonds published by LexisNexis. Betterton is a Member of the Maryland bar, the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
