November 10, 2010 — The Maryland Association of Resources for Family and Youth (MARFY) has named Children’s Guild Vice President of Organizational Learning Terry Manning to its board of directors. Prior to joining The Children’s Guild, Manning was a therapist for family and children at the Family and Children’s Services Sexual Abuse Treatment Center in Carroll County. Manning is a licensed certified social worker by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners. She received both her master’s degree in social work and bachelor’s degree in social work and psychology from the University of Maryland. Manning lives in Hampstead, Md. The Maryland Association of Resources for Family and Youth is a nonprofit association of child and family service agencies throughout Maryland. The Children’s Guild is a nonprofit organization founded in 1953 and dedicated to serving children who are difficult to educate and care for due to autism, multiple disabilities, and/or who have been traumatized by their life experience or family situation.
