Sept. 27 — Kathleen Kelly Swanson, JD, has been named the new Director of Resource Development at The Arc of Howard County. She joins The Arc from the Archdiocese of Baltimore, where she was Coordinator for Planning and Council Services. She is also an Adjunct Professor in Leadership Ethics at the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University and works with the Centers for Medicaid Services as a grant reviewer. In the past, Swanson volunteered with The Arc’s Governmental Affairs, Chocolate Ball Silent Auction and Strategic Plan Committees. She served on the board from 1996 to 2005. The Arc of Howard County helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve full community life, including independent living and employment.
