


Sept. 17— Baltimore Reads, a nonprofit that offers family literacy classes and also raises awareness of the adult literacy crisis in the Baltimore region, has promoted four staff members. Monique Harris, formerly an instructional specialist and instructional program director, is now the deputy director of Baltimore Reads. Jeff Spence, formerly IT manager, is now operations manager. Patricia Edwards, previously the intake and outreach director, and an intake assessment specialist, is the new student support service director. Sheila Byrd, formerly executive administrative assistant, is administrative coordinator for Baltimore Reads.
