August 11, 2010 — Scott Carmer has joined MedImmune of Gaithersburg as executive vice president of Commercial Operations. He most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Genentech’s rheumatology franchise. He has also held senior leadership roles at Amgen, as well as, key roles at GlaxoSmithKline. MedImmune is the worldwide biologics unit for AstraZeneca, PLC.
