July 20, 2010 — Network 2000, an organization promoting the advancement of women in the corporate world, has named Karen D. Weatherholtz president. Weatherholtz previously served as senior vice president, human relations for McCormick & Co., Inc. She also served on McCormick’s Management Committee and was a member of the company's board of directors. Weatherholtz later served as a director of GBMC Healthcare Inc. and currently serves on the board of directors of The Chimes. Weatherholtz has been named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record. In addition to being recognized as a Distinguished Alumna by Mercy High School in Baltimore, she received a Business Leader Award from the Maryland YWCA and was selected as a Distinguished Woman by the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
