July 13, 2010 — John DiMenna, AIA, a senior vice president and partner at Rubeling & Associates, was named as the new president of the Greater Towson Committee (GTC). He has been a member of the GTC Board for the past seven years. During that time, he has served on various subcommittees, including chairing the Government Relations Committee. DiMenna was appointed to two terms of the Maryland State Board of Architects and the Baltimore County Architectural Review Board. He is past president of the Essex Community College Foundation, and past member of the Leadership Baltimore County and Baltimore Foundation of Architecture. Al has also chaired the Architecture Committee for the Baltimore/Richard Bloch Cancer Survivors Park in Towson, and served on the Board for The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland.The GTC is a volunteer-driven advocacy group that provides developers and urban-oriented professionals in the area with information and advisory support. The GTC has collaborative relationships with the area Chambers of Commerce and community associations to focus its efforts on development in the County’s core. Rubeling & Associates, Inc. offers Architecture, Interior Design, Master Planning and Historic Architecture design services in Towson and the surrounding areas.
