June 28, 2010 — Sandy Spring Bank has appointed Dan Murtaugh to serve as vice president, mortgage banker for the Olney-based financial institution's Mortgage Division Team. Murtaugh most recently served as senior vice president, residential lending for Bay National Bank. Prior to that, he was private mortgage banker for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and a loan officer for First Horizon Home Loans. Murtaugh serves as a board member for the Homebuilder's Association of Maryland, as well as, the non-profit Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore.
