

June 22, 2010 — Catherine Miller, MSN, CCRN, a clinical educator for Howard County General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Special Care Unit, is the regional winner of the Nursing Spectrum Excellence Award for Teaching. Miller has served as a nurse for more than 25 years, and became became the educational manager for the ICU in 2002. Additionally, Ellen Merrill, RN, CCRN, ICU, was one of five finalists in the Clinical Care category of the Nursing Spectrum Excellence Awards. Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine since 1998 is a 238-bed, not-for-profit, health care provider located in Columbia.
