June 18, 2010 — The Arc of Maryland has named David A. Rosenthal its volunteer of the year. Rosenthal currently serves as a senior financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial in Severna Park. Rosenthal is the outgoing president of The Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region. The statewide group cited his successful efforts as a member of the Board of Directors in preventing the noprofit it from going into bankrputcy in the late 1990s when it was known as The Arc of Anne Arundel. He later was instrumental in a merger with Alternative Living, Inc.
