June 17, 2010 — Matt Hjortsberg, a partner and member of the litigation department at Bowie & Jensen, LLC , has just been named president of the board for the Maryland Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Beforehand, he was the State Corporate chair for the Society's annual Light the Night walk. Hjortsberg served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Carroll Byrnes of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City immediately after graduating from University of Maryland School of Law. Prior to joining Bowie & Jensen, Hjortsberg was an associate at Niles, Barton & Wilmer in Baltimore. In addition to this, he is a member of the board of directors for the Maryland Law School Alumni Association. Bowie & Jensen is a law firm headquartered in Towson. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ® is a voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.
