May 27, 2010 — Kimberly Willinghan, RN has been named Saint Agnes Hospital's 2010 Nurse of the Year. She was chosen as Nurse of the Year based on her ability to exhibit excellence in nursing practice, initiative, team support, and in providing outstanding service to patients. Willinghan, a nurse in the Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU), was honored at the Nurse of the Year awards ceremony, an annual event held as part of the weeklong series of activities celebrating Nurses Week. She began working at Saint Agnes in October 2000 and is a member of the Nursing Research Council. Additionally, Willinghan is a member of the Critical Care Nursing PIPEs Council and a staff nurse representative on the Hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Saint Agnes Hospital is a full-service, teaching hospital founded by the Daughters of Charity.
