May 26, 2010 — The Tower Companies has promoted David Borchardt, P.E., LEED® AP BD+C to chief sustainability officer. Borchardt has held various positions at The Tower Companies, including: director of Sustainable Development, director of Sustainable Design, and director of Green Development. Prior to that, Borchardt was the assistant director of Facility Planning at Dewberry in Arlington, Virginia . The Tower Companies is a member of EPA's Green Power Partnership, Climate Leaders and Energy Star programs and is the Washington, DC area's leading regional builder of USGBC LEED® projects.
