May 14, 2010 — The Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association has inducted Jean F. Moon, president of Jean Moon & Associates and co-founder of the Women’s Giving Circle, into the Newspaper Hall of Fame. Moon was recognized for her pioneering work in community journalism, having spent over two decades at what became the Patuxent Publishing Co. Additionally, Moon was the president of The Columbia Foundation, a founder and chair of the Columbia Festival of the Arts and a founder of the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society. The Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association, based in Crofton, exists to serve the diverse needs of our newspaper members in areas of common concern.
