May 5, 2010 — PharmAthene, Inc., a biodefense company in Annapolis, has appointed Eric I. Richman to the position of interim chief executive officer. Richman currently serves as senior vice president, business development and strategic planning at PharmAthene. Beforehand, he served as one of the founding team members at MedImmune, and in addition to that, was responsible for the U.S. launch of MedImmune's first commercial product, Synagis®. Prior to joining MedImmune, he started his career at HealthCare Ventures. Richman was a former director of Lev Pharmaceuticals and serves as a director of ADMA Biologics, Inc., and American Bank.
