April 26, 2010 — James (Jim) Tholen, chief financial officer (CFO) of Broadsoft, was selected as a CFO of the year at the annual SmartCEO/Justin Bradley CFO Awards. Tholen previously served as CFO and chief operating officer (COO) at Network Security Technologies, Inc. Prior to that, he served as chief strategy officer (CSO) and CFO for CareerBuilder, Inc. He also served as Vice President -- Strategy and M&A at Legent Corporation (now Computer Associates), and as a technology investment banker at Morgan Stanley. BroadSoft, based in Gaithersburg, provides software that enables fixed-line, mobile and cable service providers to deliver voice and multimedia services over their IP-based networks.
