March 24, 2010 — Alvin D. Katz, CPA, co-founder of Katz , Abosch , Windesheim , Gershman & Freedman , P.A. (KatzAbosch), was honored at the 12th Annual American Red Cross, Central Maryland Chapter's "Hometown Heroes" awards breakfast in the "Gift of Life" category at Martin’s West in Baltimore. Honorees of the “Gift of Life” category are recognized for providing significant amounts of blood or components throughout the years. Katz was honored for his nearly 20 years as a blood platelet donor. Katz has served as a consultant, tax specialist, director, president and chief executive officer for KatzAbosch. Additionally, he has been a board member for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce. KatzAbosch is one of the largest certied public accounting and business consulting firms in the state of Maryland.
