February 24, 2010 – Green Connected, an Annapolis-based company that helps non-profit organizations, businesses and consumers find vendors and resources to go green, has hired Bert Drake, Ph.D. as its new chief scientist. Previously, Drake served as an environmental scientist with the Smithsonian Institution. In addition to that, he was named Distinguished Science Lecturer by the Smithsonian Institution in 2005. Dr. Drake has served as a consultant to NASA and the Department of Energy, and as a visiting professor at the Universite Paris Sud, Orsay, France, University of Vienna, Vienna Austria, College of Marine Studies University of Delaware, George Washington University, University of Tennessee, and American University.
