The Weinberg Foundation appoints new leadership

February 23, 2009 — The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, a private foundation located in Maryland, has made several leadership changes. Donn Weinberg has assumed the position of chairman of the board. Rachel Garbow Monroe assumes the role of president of the Weinberg Foundation. And finally, Judge Ellen M. Heller will begin as a trustee of the Foundation. Weinberg joined the Foundation as corporate counsel, and laster became a trustee. He currently serves on the boards of the Baltimore Community Foundation, The Philanthropy Roundtable, and the Jewish Funders Network.  Monroe joined the Foundation as the organization's first chief operating officer. Her previous professional roles include serving as the chief operating officer for The Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore and as the worldwide director of marketing for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Judge Heller was appointed to the bench of the Baltimore City Circuit Court until her retirement in 2003. Judge Heller is a board member of the Board of Visitors of the U. of Md. School of Law, the Independent Lay Review Board of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the Baltimore Community Foundation, and the International Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins Bioethics Institute.
