February 22, 2009 — Steve Penrod has been elected vice president of the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC Inc.). Penrod will also remain general manager of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant's. Prior to this, he served as plant manager. Penrod joined the Paducah plant as a design engineer and later became an engineering project manager. He has served in several supervisory positions since then in Operations, Health Physics and the Health and Safety Division. Penrod serves on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, and the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. USEC Inc., a global energy company, is a supplier of enriched uranium fuel for commercial nuclear power plants.
