October 1, 2009 — Lanny J. Davis, formerly the White House Special Counsel, and Eileen M. O'Connor, a veteran journalist, have joined McDermott Will & Emery LLP’s Regulatory and Government Strategies Practice Group as partner and counsel, respectively. Davis served three terms as Maryland's representative on the Democratic National Committee and, most recently, has served on the five-member Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. O'Connor spent over 20 years at ABC News and at CNN's Washington, London, and Moscow bureaus. As an attorney, she advises the Department of Homeland Security on incident response and is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University School of Law.
